will be directed to take your pet to one of the local 24-hour emergency hospitals

We will be closing Monday through Friday at 6 PM, we will be open Saturday regular hours

Health officials across the U.S. and the world are on high alert due to COVID-19.  As veterinary professionals, we are receiving questions from our clients and our teams. We are relying on information and updates from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) to provide credible information and resources to assist with responses to those questions.

The AVMA is in regular contact with the FDA, CDC, USDA and other health organization experts in order to understand the latest developments and their potential impact on veterinarians, patients, and clients. Based on what we have learned, the practice of “social distancing” is imperative in “flattening the curve” of the COVID-19 infection which might otherwise spike and overwhelm the human health care system.  Because we provide an essential service to you and your family, we do not have the option of shuttering our practice as in the case of restaurants, movie theaters, museums and the like.  That said, in order to take further precautions in the spread of COVID-19, we are instituting “curb-side service” for you and your pet.  It is our hope that by limiting our human interaction we will avoid potential exposure to COVID-19 and subsequent illness which would necessitate closing our doors.


If it is essential for you to bring your pet to our practice, we are requesting that you text us at 781-631-8881 from your car when you arrive. One of our staff members will bring your animal into our building while you wait outside.  We can take the patient history via text and/or over the phone.  This will eliminate the foot-traffic in and out of our office thus reducing contagion risk.

We will also provide free-delivery of pet food and pharmacy items to Marblehead and Swampscott clients until the worst of the COVID-19 health scare is behind us.
